What Makes This Course Special
This is not a lecture format
There will be a lot of dialogue, observation, and collective thinking. I work with the VTS (Visual Thinking Strategies) method — an approach from art education where we learn to look carefully, articulate what we see, listen to each other, and arrive at a deeper understanding. Without “right answers.”
You don't just “go through the material.” You start building your own project from the very first session. Along the way, I'll show you how to find your idea, give you small assignments between meetings, and by the end — your project comes together naturally.
It might feel like a lot. But every assignment is designed so you'll feel like a curious child discovering something new.
15 years in fashion. 10 years running my own clothing brand — as designer, marketer, and creative director. A Master's degree in Art Education from SAIC, one of the best programs in the US.
This course is not theory from a single source — it's a living system built from industry experience and art.
Program
6 Sessions, 2 Hours Each
Artists & Fashion Houses
Collaborations between artists and brands. Fashion as artistic expression. What resonates with us and why.
On this session I show what your final project could look like — so you see the direction and possibilities right away.
Fashion Through Cinema
We watch a selected film beforehand, then dive into a deep discussion together. After the lesson — a curated list of fashion documentaries.
The Many Faces of Fashion
Unusual designers and houses. Strong, unexpected looks. The stories behind costumes. This lesson expands your view and inspires your own project.
Magazines, Photography & Styling
Fashion photography and iconic images. The history of fashion magazines. Fashion writing as art. How the profession of stylist was born — and stylists as creators of meaning.
Sustainable Fashion & Fiber Art
Sustainable practices in fashion. Upcycling, resale, new formats. Handcraft: embroidery, knitting, textile as artistic medium.
Final — Project Presentations
This is not an exam. It's a moment where fashion becomes your personal statement.
